[edit]This article is valuable in its own right, despite lack of references. But, where do temple names of commoners go? Pawyilee 09:09, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
So what's the difference?
[edit]"They should not be confused with era names. Compared to posthumous names, the use of temple names is more exclusive. Both titles were given after death to an emperor or king, but unlike the often elaborate posthumous name, a temple name always consists of only two characters"
These sentences need more work. They are confusing. I couldn't understand what temple name is after all. Is temple name also given after death or is it given on some other occasion? What does the 3rd sentence above mean by "both titles"--"era name and posthumous name" or "posthumous name and temple name". Gantuya eng (talk) 07:12, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
Also certain sentence structure was not only confusing but unintelligible, "At earlier time only rulers performed have temple names" Ur-loki (talk) 12:16, 31 December 2011
