List of Sesame Street characters by last known appearance

Delete This is ridiculous.

Delete Page is not close to complete, it doesn't add value, it can easily be absorbed into other Sesame Street pages. And so on. Ringbark 09:32, 11 Mar 2005 (UTC)

  • Keep. Just pause the vote for a week, please, so can rally the Muppet community to help. This page isn't as worthless as it may seem. Most posts by newbie of Muppet posting boards is "when did they get rid of..." So, if there's this many people willing to join boards, post their queries, and wait for answers, there could be millions more than would like to have these questions answered in a snap. Yes, the information on this page is covered in each character's bio, but it provide a condensed resource for most people, who wouldn't want to hop, skip, and jump around Wikipedia for answers. -- user:zanimum
  • Keep. There is not any reason to delete this; it's level of completeness is not a reason to delete and it is very relevant to the base of fans for Sesame Street and related shows. Unlike some other lists it can be complete as the list is finite. Courtland 17:24, 2005 Mar 13 (UTC)

  • Delete. Wikipedia is not a general information base. We have an article List of Sesame Street characters, which lists them alphabetically. This is exactly the same list, with the addition of one item of data (date of last appearance), and a different sort. How many different sorts of the same basic data are we going to have? Each separately, and manually maintained, and therefore out of sync. How about: by date of first appearance, by number of appearances, by total length in minutes of appearances, by color, by height, by name of voice actor who played them, etc, etc. It is stupid. If somebody wants to create an online database of muppets and their appearances, and let people query it in all manner of wondrous ways, he can do it. He can even put a link to it in the appropriate Wikipedia articles. But Wikipedia isn't that database. --BM 13:00, 15 Mar 2005 (UTC)

  • Merge anything useful, if any such thing exists, into List of Sesame Street characters. Though I did laugh at [j]ust pause the vote for a week...so [I] can rally the Muppet community to help.
