wikispam? Does not tell why this hotel is relevant for an encyclopedia. Wikipedia is not a travel guide. andy 16:03, 4 May 2004 (UTC)
- Keep stub. Famous resort [1], although less so today than 50 years ago. -- Decumanus | Talk 16:09, 4 May 2004 (UTC)

- Seems to be of historical interest, at least as far as hotels go. Keep. -- Cyrius|✎ 17:12, May 4, 2004 (UTC)

- Keep. Stub was suggested to differentiate between the Broadmoor Hotel and Broadmoor Hospital, which already has a listing on Wikipedia. Of local cultural interest to Colorado Springs and Colorado. Speedeep 18:14, 4 May 2004 (UTC)
- Not only keep, but, honestly, shame on whoever listed this - the listing went in less than 15 minutes after the article was first posted, and the first post's comments indicated that the article was a beginning. Give articles a chance to develop, and, beyond that, give new users a chance. You just VFDed a first time user's first article - one that it looks like was written in good faith. Way to drive newbies away. Snowspinner 21:32, 4 May 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. Historically and culturally significant. BTW, wasn't this the hotel used in The Shining? - Lucky 6.9 21:59, 4 May 2004 (UTC)
- No, you're thinking of The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, which is the hotel that the "Overlook Hotel" in the book was loosely based on. The movie, however, was actually filmed in Timberline Lodge in Oregon. -- Decumanus | Talk 22:00, 4 May 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. Significant establishment. Famous locally and nationally. One of the few five-star hotels in the world. —Frecklefoot 16:48, May 7, 2004 (UTC)
- I've removed the VfD boilerplate. I hope there are no objections...? Oh, and thanks for the info, Decumanus. Much obliged. - Lucky 6.9 01:28, 8 May 2004 (UTC)
