[edit]Section on land clearing protests also doesnt feel neutral.
Removal of article Protest
[edit]I am an IT administrator in Chaudhary Group. I have been assigned to remove the Protest article in CG group as it is hampering the reputation of the Company. So, please can you remove Protest from the wiki page. Thank you. Geev punk (talk) 09:36, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
- I have removed it because that was the right thing to do in this particular case. But your company does not get to decide what Wikipedia says about anything. You can however read up on WP:PAID editing and make requests for edits, as long as they are well supported by reliable sources and comply with wikipedia policies. Regards! - "I have removed it because that was the right thing to do in this particular case"? This company is involved in Land grabbing which may not be of interest to User:Usedtobecool as an individual but this practice has a lot of interest from the public in general. This is evidenced by the sheer number of news articles the 2019_Daman_indigenous_land_clearing_protests page cites including the Times of India which is literally the most read English language newspaper on earth. Obviously encyclopaedias should not be promoting companies but by the same token they should not be burying their misdeeds. Particularly when they create international outrage which is reflected by notable media sources. On that basis I am adding this section again. I understand that it may need editing. - Righting great wrongs is admirable, Veej, but you will have to do it in the real world. You tell a pretty compelling story but you don't have the sources. Perhaps you know there was landgrabbing and perhaps you know that it was CG that was responsible or complicit, but your sources don't say it. Please bring in mainstream reliable sources that specifically connect CG with the landgrabbing if you want to tell that story on this article. I am assuming good faith here that you did not actually mean to mislead our readers with references that don't support the claims they are cited for; I ask that you do the same re. why I might put the integrity of the encyclopedia over the satisfaction of screwing over a billion dollar company.
