Copyright problem
[edit]Yes, the copyright problem with Image:Aitken Roshi1950.jpg is that it is listed as an instance of "fair use", and the image talk page says, "Consider as Fair Use under US Copyright", but it does not explain why and on what grounds it would be considered fair use. Also, it is generally much better if we can use only images that available under free licenses (such as the GFDL or one of the broader Creative Commons licenses) in Wikipedia articles, and avoid fair use unless there is some pressing need.—Nat Krause(Talk!) 08:55, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
Articles for deletion nomination of Diamond Sangha
[edit]I have nominated Diamond Sangha, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Diamond Sangha. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

-->Well, it has taken a while for me to find this notice. I actually share your concern that the page went nowhere. I simply created the stub, and hoped Sangha members to jump in and firm it up. I am not a student of zen, nor am I a material supporter of the Diamond Sangha, but I do think the organization deserves inclusion on Wikipedia, especially compared to some of the other entries that have been codified over the years. There doesn't seem to be much interest from them at this time, though, and so it's a wrap. Dr8 (talk) 11:42, 13 December 2012 (UTC)
