Gatsby's Talk Page
[edit]Just trying to get a feel for this whole thing here. Playing with some of the formating. Soon I will probably expand the page on The Voyage of the Dawn Treader by C.S. Lewis. I am currently reading the book and I have found the existing page a bit wanting. I suppose there are much more important topics that could use some work, but we start with what we know, right?
Favorite Books
[edit]Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card
Neuromancer by William Gibson
The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice
A Greeting?
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! Hope you like it here, and stick around.
Here are some tips to help you get started:
- To sign your posts (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).
- Try the Tutorial, and feel free to experiment in the test area.
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk
- Eventually, you might want to read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.
- Remember Wikipedia:Neutral point of view
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Good luck!

Your user page
[edit]Hi Gatsby! I just wanted to say that you should move that section about your favorite books (and add more about yourself please!) to your user page. This page is more for people to make notes to you, etc. The user page is more for writing about yourself. If you want to see an example, compare my user page and my talk page.
Also, if you look at the history (for this page, for example), your name is a red-link since that links to your user page. Not that anyone would care, but if you change something, some people will be more apt to be suspicious. If you need any more help, just go to my talk page. --Ricky81682 (talk) 06:16, Jan 10, 2005 (UTC)
