- Keep. Beg mercy! To put vfd on an article 40 minutes old... But the blame is on the author, I admit. Russian nobility has its specifics that calls for separate articles, even the words are not English. We have szlachta and emir and <...> here. What's wrong with 'dvoryanstvo' besides being substub? - Keep: notable historical term. Article has been expanded, it's quite informative now. Wile E. Heresiarch 03:40, 23 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. I've encountered this word (and its derivatives, such as dvoryanin or dvoryane) in a number of articles, and it's always a red link. Let it stay. Or we could probably create a separate article on Russianisms (or Sovietisms, for that matter), if people feel like it. KNewman 04:02, Sep 23, 2004 (UTC)
- In fact, there is List of English words of Russian origin. A good idea would be to supply it with summaries. Mikkalai 15:45, 23 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. Historically important concept. --Improv 04:27, 23 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- Keep, provided it's expanded further. Mackensen 05:42, 23 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. It is educational from historical point article. --Debora 14:44, 25 Sep 2004 (UTC)
VFD removed, since the article became full. Mikkalai 05:11, 26 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Vfd restored, since the discussion period hasn't ended. RickK 05:15, Sep 26, 2004 (UTC)
- Delete. Not notable. Aaaaa 05:26, 26 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- Delete. I'd rather have no article than tolerate the childish behavior involved with the VFD tag. GrazingCow 05:38, 26 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- The above is a sock puppet. RickK 05:49, Sep 26, 2004 (UTC)
- Comment, no vote. No offense, but that's a terrible reason to vote delete. To quote User:SS: Articles aren't insane, people are. If this article was listed for deletion too hastily, then so be it. If not, that's fine too. We judge articles on their own merits, not by their authors or by the actions of voters on VfD. PS: please don't use sockpuppets. • Benc • 05:52, 26 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- Sock or stocking, I'd suggest him to read Wikipedia:Deletion_policy#Unlisting_a_page_from_VfD before casting stones. I delisted the article primarily because the vfd page is very big, and IMO it is a good idea to clean it in the clear cases, to relieve some sore eyeballs. Mikkalai 05:54, 26 Sep 2004 (UTC)
