Dune Reference Expansion

[edit]

In additon to the obvious dune reference, there are many more, including the name of the song (refering to the bene gesserit "voice" which takes away the victim's power of choice.) Other lyrics in the song make a reference to the fact that dune is much about the transformation from being a man into being a diety. (Its gone beyond being a man) Something of this should be added in, i think. What do you think? -Sirkha 19:16, 27 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Dune Reference Expansion?

Well then add it in! I just added in the song for shelter issue. Discussion about that? 211.31.112.16 23:53, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Half Way Between the Gutter and the Stars album cover.jpg

[edit]

Image:Half Way Between the Gutter and the Stars album cover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Since Allmusic have changed the syntax of their URLs, 1 link(s) used in the article do not work anymore and can't be migrated automatically. Please use the search option on http://www.allmusic.com to find the new location of the linked Allmusic article(s) and fix the link(s) accordingly, prefereably by using the {{Allmusic}} template. If a new location cannot be found, the link(s) should be removed. This applies to the following external links:

Getty Images sued Fatboy Slim over the artwork used for this album cover. Fatboy Slim visited Getty's site and saw the photo "Sunset Silhouette" by "Ernst Hass, but then instead of licensing the image they hired another photographer to take a photo that was "substantially similar". Citations:

The "copying" in this case is similar to the Rogers v Koons case at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rogers_v._Koons

I believe the information about the lawsuit over this album cover image should be added to this article. I can make it into its own article and cross link if that is the preferred way. 174.234.1.36 (talk) 06:09, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
