Etymology
[edit]Some time ago someone inserted "root has calendrical associations". Interesting if true, but exactly what sort of associations are those supposed to be? I found none, which proves nothing, but... However, even if the statement is perfectly correct, it not only is unsourced, but is obscure to the point that it cannot earn its place in the article without elaboration. Actually the etymology of the word is troublesome anyway; if an access of sanity does not suddenly overwhelm me, I might rewrite that paragraph, but meanwhile I am deleting that clause till such time as someone justifies and sources the claim adequately.
