The foreskin and exceptions

[edit]

Prcc27, Piccco has a point about this.[1] The exceptions are covered by the word "typically". The words "except in those who have been circumcised" can be removed. That's what I did when I added back the information.[2] The foreskin should have a proper mention in the lead, and then a little detail lower in the page. Yeah, “except in those who have been circumcised” is problematic and a WP:OR problem. The word “typically” did not help fix the issue I had with that part still included in the sentence. As long as it fits in the body, and is not UNDUE, your alternative for the lead would work. Prcc27 (talk) 21:04, 12 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with GBFEE on the foreskin having a mention in the lead. Prcc27, It was not my intention to vandalize the page and I tried to make clear the reason behind my edit. For example, some people are bald, that would not make the sentence "typically hair grows on the head" incorrect. I hope you understand what I want to say. In any case, I'll respect your desire not to iclude the sentence as it was. Maybe the sentence "Typically, the glans is completely or partially covered by the foreskin in humans, with some exceptions, including circumcision" would be more appropriate? Or just the first part without including the exceptions at all? You can make your own suggestions that you think would fit better on the lead. Piccco (talk) 14:00, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
