Talk:Ruska Pravda
TO WHOEVER MADE CHANGES TO THIS PAGE:
Dear Sir/Madam,
I understand your desire to edit a few things here and there in this article and restore historic names, but at least bother to change the links as well when you change their names. I spent all day translating this article from Russian into English and all you do is change names to their Ukrainian versions, even though most American Sovietologists (let's call them like this) use Russian names when talking about "RusskaYA Pravda" or "Pravda YaroslavichEY". Please, from now on do it like this: 1) place Ukrainian original names NEXT to the Russian names IN BRACKETS or IN ITALIC, 2) if you do insist on changing LINKED WORDS, then please create APPROPRIATE LINKS. That would really help prevent all the mess from taking place.
Thank you.
Dear Mr/Ms KNewman, one of the most imporatnt policies of Wikipedia is verifiability, i.e. relyable sorces should be cited. I added a reference naming the subject of article "Ruska Pravda" (instead of "Russkaya Pravda"). Then I modified the page accordingly. I hope you'll prefer avoiding edit wars. --AndriyK 21:57, 8 October 2005 (UTC)
- It's funny how you made it all look as if I wrote the above comment yesterday. At least, have the decency to restore the date and time I wrote that. And where did you move the article's old talk page? Or is it politically incorrect (or inconvenient?) to have it here under the new name? This is exactly why I never write articles for the Ukrainian Portal, so that I could concentrate on other issues and avoid the Chernihiv/Chernigov kind of edit wars. The talk wasn't moved because the move was by "cut and paste" not by the WP:RM listing as should be done by the policy. I reverted it already. Please do not generalise re Ukrainian portal. There hasn't been any issues connected with Ukrainian nationalism for months. Minor srirmishes were solved peacefully and, mostly, politely. And me at the portal, is more upset by what's going on than you because I have to clean up this mess that AndriyK is leaving and listen to his uncivil personal attacks in response and "trying to concentrate" on content rather than his behavior . --Irpen 05:10, 9 October 2005 (UTC)
