Removed

[edit]

It did happen, but I could not confirm the exact date outside of 'this day in history'-type websites (very bad source). --mav 01:35, 8 Nov 2003 (UTC)

Trivial. The day it emerged is significant and is already linked at November 14. --mav

Removed historically uneventful election (Corzine Becomes New Jersey Gov)

[edit]

Sen. Jon Corzine winning the New Jerseys governors race was no more eventful or meaningful then any other governors race.Ucscottb4u 14:58, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Related to that, any normal election result from any country doesn't count as notable per project guidelines. Rklawton 06:22, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Miracle of the sun-1950

[edit]

When I selected the hyperlink called "the miracle of the sun" about something Pope Pius witnessed in 1950, I was taken to a page about an event happening on the 13th October 1917. Surely these are not the same events, so I was wondering if anything could be done about this as it is misleading and confusing. Natalie <http://www.oltiv.org/2007/02/newspaper-report-of-fatima-miracle-on.html> cites an October 13, 1917 edition of "O Seculo" (government newspaper) that described the event, including the "dancing sun." Miracle or UFO?

When was this? Can't find it in Wikipedia

NZ Election

[edit]

Why was my edit removed? Presumably since it is in New Zealand it is not notable but a photo of John Key was on the main page in the news section. Doesn't that mean it is notableTshiels1 (talk) 02:18, 22 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

See WP:DOY. Elections are very rarely notable. They occur on a predictable schedule and the election itself is generally not notable. They are only notable if they represent a social milestone - first black, first woman, etc. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 14:13, 22 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect labeling of example X-ray image

[edit]

The label says it's X-ray of W. Röntgen's wife's hand whereas it's X-ray by Wilhelm Röntgen of Albert von Kölliker's hand. Either the label should be changed or preferably the image to X-ray of W. Röntgen's wife's hand.LeCon Vivek (talk) 23:31, 8 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
