Nickname
[edit]It was after Archie Gemmill as he was a good footballer at school and it eventually got shortened to Gem ! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.5.131.162 (talk) 20:04, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
Nickname - my take is that it is a shortened version of the footballer - Archie Gemmill...Archer...Gemmill...Gem.87.127.37.65 (talk) 16:00, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
Does anyone know the origin of his nickname? It seems to be pronounced with a hard 'g', not like gem.--MartinUK (talk) 10:05, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
Gem Archer did not right the new oasis song "The Meaning Of Soul", Liam Gallagher did. Gem Archer wrote their new song called "A Bell Will Ring". This has been stated over and over again by members of the band, so I have no idea who could be stupid enough to get it the wrong way round.
Bloody hell! Put yer handbag away yer daft sod. It seems like an honset mistake. You don't have to be "stupid" to get that wrong. Painbarer does more for this subject that you (you tellingly didn't leave yer name, but you can't do more than me & him) so why don't you just leave it out? Girl.--Crestville 14:47, 24 Feb 2005 (UTC)
I'm almost positive Gem does not have the same birthday as Noel. We need to source that. -- Bang Bang You're Dead 21:45, 19 Feb 2007 (UTC)
