What are these?
[edit]Could somebody say what these are? I can't understand at all. moink 19:04, 5 Mar 2004 (UTC)
Origination date
[edit]Can someone with a better grasp of the history address Robert Kolb's claim that the doctrine dates only from the 1920s? Most sources claim it was invented by Augustine of Hippo in the early fifth century - including our own page on Augustine! Securiger 09:08, 28 Jun 2004 (UTC)
- This is because the term jus ad bellum was invented and codified at that point. Augustine put forth the initial ideas about conduct in waging and starting wars. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.134.66.77 (talk) 03:31, 11 December 2012 (UTC)

UN Charter Article 51
[edit]The UN Charter Article 51 should be mentioned in the section "Principles of jus ad bellum", in particular the last sentence of that article. 83.233.204.43 (talk) 02:58, 13 April 2016 (UTC)

Latin translation
[edit]I'm pretty sure my Latin ("right to war") is correct but it's a very literal translation and my Latin is rusty. Could someone double check it? Delukiel (talk) 00:56, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
