File talk:Icicles.jpg
Appearance
I suspect there is more that could be said about this picture. The ice coating the branches is unusually clear. Am I right in thinking this only occurs under specific conditions, such as an ice storm or freezing rain? -- Solipsist 08:20, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- This was a while ago, but anyway... this would typically happen either as a result of freezing rain, or freezing water mist (such as you'd get from a larger waterfall. I've seen this particular phenomenon downwind from Niagara Falls.) --130.214.17.20 22:35, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
- I would really like to know if these icicles were caused by freezing rain or by supercooled fog droplets.
